I've posted this as a bug when DNF was first changed over, it's more of a nuisance now and all bugs seem to be fixed. It went unheard; even with others 'reporting' it too, so I've taken the liberty of displaying a graphical representation of our concerns if you may not understand what we mean.

Here is the forum:

When I click on the thread, I am taken here:

Being taken here, I have to click "Forum Announcements" and find the thread to see its context and previous posts. As it was on vB, please take us here so we can save time:

Then, we can also reply to the newest, previous or even original post.

Thank you :)

This also happens when doing a search, I believe. One should be able to see the entire thread, otherwise the context is lost, as David pointed out.

Clicking on the date/datetime (bottom left, next to the authors username) takes you to the thread. So you can navigate to the thread directly, but it is not very intuitive and indeed very annoying.

It's in various other places as well, such as profiles, etc. Either way, a graphical representation had to be made to make this . Can we get this resolved? :D

Didn't even notice that because it doesn't look like a link. Makes it a lot faster than the method I was using which got confusing with sub-forums. Either way, it's 1 extra step that's not necessary and is annoying. o_O

It's also located in "Alerts". When you replied, all I saw was your post and not the entire thread/position of your post on the thread as shown in Figure 3 of the OP (which you wouldn't originally see because of this ;)).

To be honest I do not see the added value of displaying a single post without thread context.

Thanks for sharing this - not intuitive indeed!

I will also chime in that this new interface for navigating threads (to individual posts) is really annoying and confusing... Hopefully it can be set in the forum software as an option (or customised reasonably easily)...
