    legal FedPolice.com

Did you register FedPolice.com or australianfederalpolice.com? They are complaining about the second. If that's not your domain, tell them. If you are in Australia I'd be concerned. Other countries, less so.

When wannabe domain buyers are stupid beyond belief

When I get stupid inquires "Oh I see your not using your domain..." or "I wanna buy blah blah domain (worth $$$$+) for my son.." the hardest part is NOT REPLYING. I always wonder "Maybe it's the CEO of a fortune 500 company calling?" or "Maybe the son's father is a multi-millionaire!"...

Trade Marks, Depends on intended use? question...

Most mega corps farm this out to "brand protection" companies who are paid by the company's legal department. They use automatic tools (like internet crawl spiders) to search for "infringements" on everything from new domain registrations to forum posts. The threats then begin by email and...

    1 word .net? Opinions?

There are no hard and fast rules about valuation. However, in general, for business related terms, the dotcom version will be the most valuable and is usually already registered. Non-profits are the preferred customer for dotorg and will usually not pay as much as a business will for dotcoms...

True. I should probably have a millennium long outlook. ;) I sure hope that people know we are joking.

    1 word .net? Opinions?

It all depends on which word. Words which have business application are very valuable. mobile.net Sold for $500,000 in 2014 return.net Sold for $1500 last week adaptation.net Sold for $174 in 2015 And others could sell for less or more. You need to check word popularity (Google searches)...

    appraise Terrorising.com

Dictionary word +. British spelling limits market a bit -. Very limited, if any, business application -. Recent international news gives it a boost +. Namebio only reports 10 "terror" domain sales in last 7 years! Prices from $100 to $5000. Baring any other info I would expect a $1k maximum...

Classic TM quandary-Company has just filed for TM on my 5 year old domain-What to do?

I'm not a lawyer, but I do own several Trademarks. I see some confusion in this thread about what a Trademark is and what protection it offers. 1)A Trademark is NOT the right to the exclusive use of a business name. If you search for any common word in the Trademark database you will find...

    Look for Managed Dedicated Server

I'm looking for recommendations for a good Managed hosting company for a Managed Dedicated Server to run my websites, mostly Wordpress. I'd also prefer to get a hardware firewall for security. I currently use Rackspace which has OK management, and is responsive, but the cost $$$$ is bankrupting...

appraise PropertyCircle.com what should be the price?

This is a "brandable" property domain. According to Namebio, they seem to be fairly popular. Here are some recent comparable sales: propertyfirst.com 960 USD 2015-09-14 NameJet propertydepot.com 1,444 USD 2015-07-24 Sedo propertyninja.com 1,300 USD 2015-06-11 BuyDomains propertymogul.com 1,860...

Why domains with numbers are worth ?

A few reasons: Countries in Asia have different languages and alphabets that don't easily translate to the Internet. So using the 26 letter Western Alphabet is not the most convenient. IDN domains have helped somewhat but would still be country specific. However, Arabic numerals are universal...
