Hi,

I have a lot of domains parked.

Most names have 2-page landers, but a few have 1-page landers.

I have also noticed requests for parked pages with one page landers on forums.

Are 1-page landers worth more?

If so, how much more(by percentage or other actor)?

What makes them worth more?

Do they get better click-through?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Best,

Victoria

Thanks, Tony.

I did not know either of those facts.

From your info, it sounds like each has it's value and I should not be concerned with trying to get 2-pagers to be 1-pagers, or vice-versa.

That was helpful.

But often the choice of lander comes from Yahoo or Google or whom ever is delivering the feed. It's based on a list of terms that do well enough to go straight into a narrow field of links vs. those that don't.

Thanks Cynthia,

That makes sense, as I've noticed my one-page landers are more narrow in focus (e.g., vacationtobelize.com and blingmyphone.com) whereas the two pagers have more topics related to the domain name's keywords.

I appreciate the good info.

It is my opinion that one-click landers are superior to two-click landers.

Think about it this way: If you're visiting sites online and come upon a page linked to one of the parking services, how many times will you even bother to click on one of the links if all you see is a series of topics which will take you to another page of actual advertisments? Not too often, I'll bet.

However, if you come upon a one-click lander and that page already has advertisments which interest you, it is likely that you'll browse the page (and hopefully click on one or more ads).

For that reason, I like Sedo because you never have to beg your account rep for a one-click lander, because every parking page at Sedo is automatically a one-click lander!

When you set proper keywords, the most amazing ads can appear on good generic domains. An ad on one of our parked scientific domains reads:
"Anaerobic Workstations: Rapid Interlock and Single Dish Entry ideal for strict Anaerobe Isolation". I don't know the statistics on that particular ad (and don't ask me about the scientific product being advertised), but the domain has a great conversion rate and revenues!

Another feature offered at Sedo is that every parking page has 10 "related link" topics, giving your domains the advantage of being both a one-click lander and a two-click lander!

I'm not a Sedo staff member, just one of their loyal customers who likes their domain parking and domain brokerage services. It's also relatively easy to get an account there.

That's my .02 from the peanut gallery.
