The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. The highest geodomain sale reported so far this year heads our new Top 20 chart after changing hands for $150,000 in a private transaction. That name also ranks among the 20 highest sales reported thus far in 2008. Though .com took 15 of the 20 positions on the all extension leader board, this was also a very good week for the Global Contenders. Five names from that category earned spots on the main Top 20, nine of them sold for five figures and 13 of them were strong enough to rank among the year's Top 100 GC sales. Germany's .de led the Country Code action, taking the top spot on the ccTLD Top 20 as well as the most overall entries with six. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

Elliot's blog, got this offer:
http://www.elliotsblog.com/

I am once again looking for a city .com domain name for an east coast city (east of the Mississippi). For the right name, my budget is up to $100,000, but it must fit in with my needs. This is the profile of the domain name I am looking to buy:

* City of 100,000 people or more
* .com Only
* City must be on the East Coast of the US (prefer north east)
* City name can not have Saint or Fort in at, as that can be confusing (St vs. Saint)
* Must be the full and real name of the city
* Must have some tourism
* Household income must be at the US national average or above
* Domain name must not have been publicly on the market (domain auction or forum or otherwise)

Are you and the other GeoDomain purchasers generally end-users or speculators?
See Lowell.com (no link for self-promotion) and Salinas.com (which ironically I just sold). I am in the midst of developing Burbank.com, which I hope to launch in a few weeks. I am the end user.

So who traded their domain names on paper? Which sales do you believe were faked? If you are going to make a stupid comment, you should at least give some evidence.

I am fairly certain Ron verifies most of these sales personally.
