There are those who still can not see the forest for the trees...or is it can't see the trees for the forest?

I mentioned to a coworker about google buying nest for over 3 billion. I tried explaining to him what nest was and why google bought them and he acted like I insulted his intelligence. I had to show him the article. No one in their right mind would pay that kind of money for a company, he said. I mentioned that those "multi million dollar deals are gone since so many tech companies are awash in money. Today it is all about the billion dollar deal". He laughed and said I was stupid to believe that and how stupid google was to pay that for anyone.

Then I showed him this breaking news yesterday. Said it was a typo. Probably 190 million or 1.9 billion.

People, if you can't see change, please step aside before it knocks the wind out of you.
