Are 2/3 character number domains generally more valueable than 2/3 character letter domains, or does it matter what the number is? Like would 484.com be decent or would it have to be something nice like 300.com, 411.com etc?

I should imagine they are worth more cause there are less around but they also would lose value because a end-user is more likely to use a letter domain than a number domain.

I would say that a meaningful 2/3 letter domain is always going to be worth more than a 2/3 number domain as generally speaking the letters will mean something and can be identifiable with something/someone and are more likely to be entered on a search (when did you last enter www.(number).com?
There are, of course, always going to be exceptions - 911 for the US springs to mind as does 999 for the UK and there will be many others. In most instances you would be looking at novelty/rarity value rather than usefulness.

Generally speaking, Yes.

543.com is much more valuable that 4q1.com.
