Well, I am with you all in figuring that SN would never catch anything for me again but just when I'd about decided that snapping names was a total waste of time (which I couldn't give up tho'!) SN got two for me. No 'Ouch.COM' here but they're decent.
In an attempt to use up a Snap, I entered 'USsurplus.COM' on Monday. They had previously failed on 'Tech-Source.COM' and a myriad of others too over the past year. USsurplus isn't fantastic but as I also own Surplus.US, it may be of some use plus there were 116 searches for this term with Overture last month. Again nothing too great, of course. I also had a Go Daddy 'Snap' and there was a $29 NW bid on this domain that I know of.
Today's was better. It was 'YardSales.NET'. There was my Godaddy 'Snap', a $324 NW bid, a $250 Drop King bid, and a $140 Drop Wizard bid too in addition to the Snap Names Snap, so this one did have some noticable competition. Again, no $10,000 domains here but both did have competition and one was really in the decent relm. As a side note, this domain is at Catalog.COM, their new partner.
Both domains were gotten through true Snap Names Snaps. My Snaps.COM slots have gotten nothing. This is likely just chance but I figured that I'd mention it.
My guess is that things will be back to normal soon (rotten). SN and go Daddy have gotten little else for me that was noticably competitive in quite a while so this was sort of a nice surprise!
Best Wishes,
