2 Letter/Character/Number Domains - How many are there?

I saw a few 2 letter/character .com, .net and .org for sale here on the forum, and was wondering how many registered 2 Letter/Character/Number .com, .net and .org domains are there currently in the registry and how much they are worth for reseller and for end users?

Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

So they are all registered? :?: I asked because I know some previously dropped 2letter/character names can't be registered anymore.

All reg'd on occassion one will drop as shown, be prepared to pay heavily though.

That's correct, new registrations for LL .org domains are no longer allowed and the existing ones are grandfathered.
Usually the expiring LL.org will be auctioned by the registrar or sent to snapnames without dropping and they will always find a buyer.

Btw, there are less two letter .orgs in existence than .com or .net. As already pointed out, two letter .orgs are locked up by the registry if they drop, which they don't seem to anymore, but that wasn't always the case.

Do you think it's possible to allow also choosing different sources?
Like if you only want to search the domains from snapnames auctions, or sedo, or just the private deals etc.

:blush: Thanks Michael! The site is definitely a major investment; lots of proprietary search and parsing algorithms, integration code, optimizations, etc. And lots and lots more coming. And yes, that capability is included in the next release [along with many major enhancements].
