unixing.com - I couldn't make up my mind. Trouble is with so few .com's being deleted makes you reg-happy!

Mr. Webname made an interesting comment as follows:
"Trouble is with so few .com's being deleted makes you reg-happy!"

My opinion that I wanted to express is that if you have a choice between (1) registering and/or developing a .com domain that is clearly awful or (2) registering and/or developing a .us, info., or .biz. ---> go with the new extensions.

There are many good domains left in .us, .info, and .biz. I believe that these extensions (especially .us and .info) will become very familiar to the general population within a few years. it's only a matter of time.

All it takes is (1) a little creative thinking, (2) researching the commercial potential of the domain via suggestiontool.com plus checking to see if the .com version of the domain is functional and looks good (3) running a TM search, etc.

Those are just my thoughts. I would choose to register a good .us, .info, or .biz name over an awful .com name anyday of the week.

If you start to agree with my line of thinking, it's best to get started on the process before all of the good domains with the .us, .info, and .biz extensions are taken.
