I have arguably the second best "music" "news" name there is. MusicNews.com is obviously the best however the guy who owns it wouldn't sell it to you for $100K - I guarantee you that.

I have MusicNewscast.com, it meets all your requirements. "newscast" is in all the dictionaries ( http://onelook.com/?w=newscast&ls=a - and it only has one specific meaning) and has 3,430,000 google results ( http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=newscast ).

P.S. I would also give you two "fringe benefits". One being, I'd link to your MusicNewscast.com site from my social networking site that I'll be starting very soon.

Here are some names.
The most appropriate imho: MusicAccent(dot)com - "accent" is a good word in relation to news and as a small bonus it is also used as a musical term.

Another appropriate one: MusicReportage(dot)com

And another one but it would be better for a little bit of a different project: MusicThen(dot)com
