And they are off! The 2014 domain sales season is underway with the first week of reported sales now in the books. With the New Year's Eve/Day holiday cutting into the opening work week one might have expected slow going in the aftermarket but quite a few respectable sales were announced. While the .coms had a dominating opening week, sweeping 18 of the 20 entries on our all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, the #1 position went to a two-letter Canadian ccTLD that banked nearly $63,000 Canadian (over $58,000 U.S.). A big .org sale also gave the non .com gTLDs a spot in the first five, but .coms owned everything else.
