www.abc.biz
B: Okay ... w w w dot a b c dot com
A: No, it's abc dot biz
Scenario 2 -
A: My e-mail address is
[email protected]
B: Hmm ... block head at x y z dot com
A: No, it's xyz dot biz
B: Okay ... at x y z biz dot com
A: NO! It's xyz dot B I Z!!
You forgot Scenario 3:
BIZ owner: Hey, I hear you are looking for a site to promote your wireless products to business owners?
CORPORATION XYZ: Yes, we are. Got any ideas?
BIZ owner: Yeah, I do. If you want to differentiate your company with the other million dot com sites, I would suggest you advertise in print with a dot biz, and back it up with your dot com. It will stand-out as something business owners should clue in on.
CORPORATION XYZ: Sounds good, but will it work.
Biz owner: Yes, it can. Can you imagine, [mod]Sorry, but please do NOT advertise your OWN domain in non-advertising forums. Thanks.[/mod] out front on a print ad. Again, the .biz is the "set-up", and "Anywhere" bleeds wireless business.
CORPORATION XYZ: You know we were thinking about shortening our URL address. Sweitzer Wireless Systems.com is so long, that most of the people who type in the name mistype the address and is a big frustration. We'd go with Sweitzer.com, but a guy from Canada want's $150,000K for the name. Another guy from Korea owns SWS.com, and he wants $1 million for it so what can a company do? Do you have any advice?
Biz owner: Sure, why not go with
www.SWS.biz. I know someone that owns the domain who would sell it to you for a $1K. In the end, you still have the com, but you "hook" them with the .biz. Hope that helps you out!
