DNA pro does it efficiently. If you do not have this program, I can send a list. I wrote a C++ program to do this. :D

Some time ago, I offered (free) list of all available three char/num .coms.
If you're still interested I can dig into my HD.

Here is the small Windows program for generating three char I made for you and anyone else.
You have to self check availability of the names.
You should run it from own directory where threech.txt file will be generated.

Robert Woodhead of SelfPromotion.com posted a full list of unregged 3 letter dot coms, nets and orgs back in 1999 - I ignoreg that list, and forgot my access to his site to

aaa.com
aab.com
aac.com

and the list goes on :)

That would be awesome to have. How does one get access to such a thing/

I am looking for a way to calculate all possible combinations of a defined group of number, letters and both. IG: i have all possible 3 way combinaions of a-z (17,576) but what if i wanted 4way or 5way? and/or add 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,-? thank you very much!

4 way would be 26*26*26*26
5 way would be 26*26*26*26*26

3 character would be 36*36*36

NNL = 10*10*26
NNC = 10*10*36

Yes, we have a tool in this world called calculator. It is very useful!

O silly me. where do i find one of those? LOL!

Actually I can do those in my head but what I cant do in me head is the "combinations" of those letters and numbers... aaaa, aaab, aaac, aaad - zzzz. then mix in number - aaa1, aaa2, aaa3 etc...


i have ALL 3 "letter" combos there are 17,576 of those. but i was hoping for the other info. please read original post with this clarification.

There is a way to do it, I just forgot how.

Let me go though my old documents and see if I still have the list somewhere.

I don't see it anymore nor do I see how to make the list. You should be able to go a Google search for it - try adding in "brute force" (a scanning method that uses aaa, aab, aac, etc.. (or whatever the method is).

Use nested loops to build the ASCII string and then throw it at whois.crsnic.net on port 43. You won't get banned if you use that whois server (top level, non-referring). Theo and I wrote this years ago and were selling lists here. I'm happy to dig out the Win executable and donate it here - please don't PM me though as I have other stuff pressing for the moment.
