forward to the site best suited - per the domain name/visitors looking for

if you only have one developed site that is different.

Why not develop your best domains into decent sites then forward the others. I sent you a pm showing you what I am doing and its doing very well.

No, no, no not parking. Free parking services are doing very bad. Keep in mind this has been a goal for me for some time now. What I would consider doing very well may not be the same for some of you. My goal for adsense is to receive 1 click per 1000 impressions. When I launched a few sites last week they are getting 5800 impressions with 7 clicks. Not a huge amount of money but I am getting anywhere from $.40 to over a $1 range on clicks.

In my opinion with adsense is basing performance by impressions vs clicks. If you can get only 1 click per 1000 impressions then you are only left promoting your site better. By creating a decent website trading links with other folks like us is easy, and with everyone I have asked to set up recip's with they have agreed.

But who would not agree to share traffic when your main goal is monetizing?

Plus as a bonus for those that bid on expired names is you can have a name that has domain age plus valid pagerank and thus be in position to sell text links to enduser websites.

I am really not doing anything special except trying to give the all mighty Google what they want instead of using loopholes in their system.

I call these park sites only because if I want them to they can be self operating.

I use the wordpress platform with a few plugins that take advantage of Google webmaster tools, auto updating sitemaps, Added ping services to all major blog sites. The content comes from a service that has about 7000 content writers that is a membership only to be an author but an enduser gets the content free as long as you retain the authors link. The articles are checked for uniqueness before they are approved to be distributed. Distributed articles are then rewrote to maintain uniqueness. The original authors article and the article that publishes on my site are the same in subject matter but are not the same in wording.

My blogs have only 1 to 2 adsense ads on the landing and 2 to 3 on a post. I don't do any tricky placements. In my opinion I think ads should look like ads and be positioned as a resource and legitimize your websites. Most of the time I leave google text links in their default colors because most endusers recognize Google ads and therefore would be confident that it is not spam or a sqeeze page.

Only 1 click per 1,000 impressions is EXTREMELY poor (unless I am missing something or somehow misunderstanding).

I think a good number would be 1 click per 10 to 20 impressions and even that is not too great and could be improved.

P.S. Are you saying that based on a forum CTR? If so, that would even be low for forums, IMO.

Trader, it depends if we are talking about minisites with nearly no content, or fully-developed sites with a lot of content. Yes, the minis can have 30-40% CTR even or more, but a developed site will be anywhere from 1% to 10%, if its more than its quite likely spammed with ads.

Get your calculator out.

1 click per 1,000 impressions is a very low percentage and FAR below a 1% CTR.

I was referring to the avg. 1 click / 15 impressions. One of my under 100k alexa sites stats so far today: 9,067 impressions, 100 clicks. The site has been optimized...

hmmm... 100 clicks per 9,000 impressions is significantly better than 1 click per 1,000 which 1inspire seems to believe is good, really no comparison.

Perhaps I am setting my goals too low. I just don't expect nor do I want to depend on high CTR.

My self-parked pages are doing far better than ones with Sedo and other parking companies, even if the % of clicks is far lower.

I'm averaging $0.30-$0.50 a click with my self parked pages but about $0.01 to $0.05 per click with parking companies.

I'm sure if I spent more time w/ the self-parked pages I could get the % clicked higher.
