closed 3DHD.co ... wasted $$?

I've been reading about .co's and their value (or lack thereof) here on this message board, and assume this another of my "priced paid to learn" domains. Any thoughts?

for all the reasons u read here
very little value if any
the only .co's I see having real value are spanish keywords for a colombian audience
but some are okay for vanity
sure lawyer.co, doctor.co, sex.co, money.co etc
nice vanity values
but no one is ever gonna stick a .co on page 1 for a major cpc term, unless it's spanish
so vanity use only
sorry but .co was the most hyped tld around, fools gold imo
