Will sell my .ws account for $475.

CDCovers.ws - Avg. 327 uniques/month

OnlineGames.ws - Avg. 389 uniques/month.

Fonts.ws - Avg. 39 uniques/month

MusicDownloads.ws - Avg. 7 uniques/month

If you wish to buy them individually, keep in mind that the .ws registrar charges $100 to transfer domain ownership, and, does not allow registrar tranfers.

Here are the traffic links.

CDCover.ws

OnlineGames.ws

Fonts.ws

MusicDownloads.ws

Thanks,
DD

I have never heard this before. Do you mean that if a .ws is registered at GoDaddy you cannot use GoDaddy's transfer function to psuh the domain into someone else's account? I have seen nothing on GoDaddy's site saying this and I would think people would be incensed if they didn't find out until AFTER registering the domain. Perhaps you mean your specific registrar charges that? If so, I would definitely be looking for a new registrar.

Thats why I would prefer to sell the whole account and just replace the account information with the new owner's, and avoid any fees.

Not sure about how G/D or eNom handles .ws - but WebSite.ws does charge $100 to transfer a name. I bought a name last year from the owner for $100 - and paid him an extra $100 to initiate the transfer. The name was worth it (and more) to me - but a transfer fee that high is kin to extortion.

I still have one lone .ws name with Register.com - and am leary of trying to transfer it to eNom. I believe if there is a "fast one" to be pulled - Register.com will pull it...

I have since been told that there is NO charge at GoDaddy to move .ws domains from one person to another. Sounds like it would be a good idea NEVER to register one with website.ws (and I don't think any one really has to tell you about register.com :) )

I have a sale on SEDO that is still pending because of the .ws $100 charge. In the SEDO contract it never mentioned who would pay for such a charge, but I can assure you it exists. We've worked it out and the sale is still pending...

The buyer will be paying the $100 transfer charge to me and I'll have to pay .ws $100 to transfer the name to him. My name is with Network Solutions, however I would indeed be happy to know that godaddy and enom get around the charge. Not that it matter too much because it would cost so much to get them to that registrar!

Sorry. I should have included the links to the Afternic parked pages. I edited the thread and inserted the links.

Thanks,

Registrars such as godaddy, enom, directnic etc use thier name like in example below to get around the 100 charge.

example:

Domain Name: DISCUSSION.WS

Registrant: Registered through DirectNIC.com

Domain created on 22-FEB-03
Domain last updated on 22-FEB-03

When a registrar uses your name, I am told thier is no way to transfer/push without the fee.

i have bought more than one .ws name from people using registerfly to push to my account and it wasn't a problem at all.No transfer fees, and i could change the whois just like with the other extensions.
The $100 must be a registrar specific thing.

I've only ever purchased one .ws domain. It was through GoDaddy and there was no transfer fee. You are probably best selling off the entire account and changing the info. Best of luck.
