4 is not a very good number

This is very true in the Far Eastern Countries as the Number 4 is considered to be Bad Luck.

But to be honest, from RegFee to $1300 within a few months seems to be pretty Good Luck to me

300.mobi did not sell for 3k+.... it sold just yesterday for $2,200..... the person that bid $3500 a month ago didnt pay.

and 400.mobi sold low either because im stupid for listing it the same time as 300.mobi ended or simply bidding was not very competitive.. it appears people were just acting as bottom feeders here... 'ill take it if its this low'

which is completely understandable, i would have done that too.

i wouldnt consider a $1300 buy for a domain thats a couple of month old as bottom feeding, maybe its just a natural trend in which people need to see some real development and use of ,mobi before paying hyped prices still..., most sites that are active .mobi sites dont offer anything that the .com counterpart doesnt offer so far if its owned by the same owner...hopefully some mobi sites and applications will develop, if not I think the prices will keep dropping..

the japanese and Chinese sound for "4" means death "æ*»" (shi). Nothing in asia is sold, bought, given or taken (except for certain situations) in sets of "4". I dont know about other countries.

That is interesting Guys, thanks.
I must admit numbers are not my area in domaining terms. :)
Interesting to always hear the far east angle on NNN domains though........
So really the 444 domain to them is like our 666? LOL
Bad Luck, devil etc?

In Western Countries the bad number is 13, usually there are no 13th floors in Hotels and no 13th row in Airplanes..

by the way guys... this domain did not sell.

sedo cancelled the transaction saying buyer was unresponsive, then tried calling me back 2 days later saying they had received full payment and the transaction had been reactivated, I basically told them no it hasnt been reactivated, that aint the way it works, ya snooze ya lose.

In China, no "fourth" floors in hotels or buidings, no rooms with with number 4, 4 is very very no good.
