"Thousands of people have been killed by today's powerful earthquake in just one affected region of central China, the government said, with the toll expected to keep rising as bodies are pulled from schools, homes and factories. Aid workers have yet to reach Wenchuan County -- the epicenter of the 7.9-magnitude earthquake -- because of damage to roads"

Wow...sounds pretty bad.

I know, that whole corner has been getting hit hard over the past few years. It's horrible.

Unlike Burma though the Chinese Government seem to be reacting to this very well.
Heart goes out to those poor people. Worst was it hit about 2pm , all kids were in school when collapsed etc, can't begin to imagine what parents are going through :sigh2:

Scary pictures with CNN's iReports - I'll give a sensitivity warning before anyone goes over there but as a hint, one is in, what looks like, an elementary school.
