Confused, was that 10,000 impressions? Further down you say clicks, so wasn't sure.

Clicks are more what count, since you could have a high traffic site - place an ad that's not relevant to your visitors and no one clicks. That would not be the merchants fault, but targeting.

Let me know what type of site and what merchant and how many clicks and I can give you a better answer.

If you had 10,000 clicks and no sales I would say drop the merchant and switch to another. Merchants can turn off tracking (accidently or on purpose) or CJ could have a tracking problem, or you could have uploaded the banner wrong and it's not tracking right. Impossible to say without more info.

You could email CJ through AAK and see if they can figure it out and also email the affiliate manager to see what's going on too.

One of my banners receives 10,000 impressions a month. CJ has shown $0 revenue for the past 2 months. Should I take it that the impressions aren't leading to sales or should I email them about this? Anyone else have this problem before with CJ? You would think out of 10,000 clicks atleast one sale or lead would happen.

Is the merchant still active or is this for a variety of different merchants? try switching to the next guy down in the list. Also it might be cheap people visiting the merchant thinking they are helping you because they think it's PPC.

I'm sure you have traffic stats as well broken down by country for your names, they might be outside US/CA people who don't get counted in sales due to site policy etc. I do really badly with affiliate stuff as my names seem to attract cheapskates :worried: But at least they click on parking pages :eek:k:

I think they recently changed some of the links around a little as well, just click on it and make sure your affiliate ID remains in the URL once peopel hit the affiliate site.

Are you expecting more on a CPC deal?

Whack google in for good measure if you want, you are allowed to have googleads and affiliate stuff on the same page without a problem, up to 3 ad boxes for google so you might not want to overdo it too badly, maybe have one as adlinks, some people do ok with that. Remember google will go off keywords on the page.

This site is the only one I/we use without google on it, b/c it's a big company site and my partners think it looks tacky. Which I think is true in a sense.
ahh a company site, yes you want to be careful and it does look tacky. Especially if you end up getting google ads for competitors even after setting up filters etc. What about a partnership or monthly deal for the traffic? You might find a company that complements your offerings that you could deal with on a one to one basis and might have residual income instead of worrying about CJ counting all the beans.

No problem glad to help.

I'm not sure but I think bots might follow affiliate links unless you tell them not to as it's not PPC.
