a domain thats expired i want

this domain i want expired in feb2002 and i cant register it, it says not available. I contacted the registrant the hosts and registered it and asked them how i can buy it. Someone has a snap on it too. If i paid the registrant the registration fee, cant they just change the info for me?

what if i get in contact with the previous owner, do you think that it will still be in his account?

it expired. Plus, you said it has a snap. Best you can do is find an alternative "snap" service, hope it drops soon, and hope your service beats snap.
