closed A few appraisals if you please

Hello,

I am really new to domain speculation.

I have a few domains so far; what do you think of them:

gamblingtop1000.com, gamblingtop500.com,gamblingtop200.com,gamblingtop1000.net

casinotop1000.com

I have started building a website on gamblingtop1000.com; not sure I will go through with it, though; not sure I have the time for it. But I see somebody else building a website at http://www.casino-topsite.com that is basically the same thing.

I think that the above names would best be sold as a set, maybe to my new-found competitor.

Any idea as to the dollar value?

Hi,

That site looks like a bunch of affiliate links, not hard to do.

Your Domains arnt worth much alone I am affraid. I cant see them being typed-in nor very attractive in my opinion. You could always set up affiliate sites for them and then sell, might add some value.

OK well thanks for being honest.

But there are 2 points I want to mention that might change your opinion, even if only very slightly:

1. affiliate programs are very profitable in the online-casino world: you get 'like 35% of the net profit of the lifetime from every player you send

2. on a casino webmaster board I was on, I remember one casino webmaster mentioning that he liked my domain name and was surprised it was available.

3. there are no decent/fair directories for gambling that I am aware of; what I have set up I personally like and find value in

Does that sweeten anything for me?

1. True, but you need the traffic, are you listed in the engines?

2. The name just doesnt have any flare to it and might be hard to remember, in my opinion.

The name might be tricky to remember, but for someone wanting to set up a gambling toplist the names are actually not that bad. I find it hard to think of radically better names for a gambling toplist.

Anyway my site is very new and still under development; it is not listed on the engines yet but it is getting there.

Thanks for checking out my site; I like it because you can seperate the non-casino stuff from the casino stuff instantly. It can't be dominated by casinos due to the sub-category structure. Whenever somebody signs up I usually find myself checking out a really interesting non-casino gambling site I never knew existed before. And I have only 10 listings...

So it's not that bad; I am OK with it.

Well, I guess the resale value is pretty low from what you are telling me; it looks like I will have to develop it myself.

I think it would be the best way to get a fair return on your reg fees and top list sites arnt very hard to set up but you probubly noticed that.

I am working on a Casino site myself, one day I may finish it, my Domain is LuckyF**kers.com , fun eh , havnt really done a thing with it yet.
