I sold a domain throuch Sedo but the buyer didn't follow up.

I have received a mail from Sedo saying that if I wish they can pass me details and I can take the guy to court.

Frankly I do not care and I told them to forget it but thinging about it, it should be good to know just to add his name on a nice black list...

Has it happened to you and what have you done?

Cheers!

Yeah I hate when that happens. Ties up the name for a month or so. Its happened to me a few times.
I had someone default about a week or so ago. I have the persons contact info on record just in case they attempt to purchase something from me again.
To answer your question I have never done anythng in terms of legal action.
You could post it here in "People to avoid dealing with" section.

It has happened to 2 twice now in 2 months. I didn't even worry about getting the contact info from them. I hope Sedo does do something as put them on a list of some kind, just for some sortive punishment. :approve:

Sedo says they will, but I guess it largely depends on price. Its happened to me there several times. People don't follow through there often just like on the forums. Well it stinks, likely better just not to worry about it.

it has happened to me numerous times.
are they being really placed on a balcklist? I doubt it.

Had Sedo required a downpayment, or maybe a fee for joining to buy from Sedo, this would drastically reduce these situations.
Yes, it might also reduce potential buyers, but only those low balling, so in efect, it would have been a wise move to have a membership fee for buyers, or hold a small amount on the credit card (for verification purposes just like pool, and snapnames do), even just for verification.

Happen to me 2 times... I was trying to get legal action since I got frustrated, but then again, it will cost me $250 to have a lawyer send out a letter. So like Searchsix says... ignore it and move on.
