About the Price of 4 Letter .Com's

4 letter .coms like Pegu.com (an example) seem to have gone up in price from being registrable 2 years ago to $2K plus now.

There are literally thousands and thousands of domains like this, are there enough end user buyers to justify the price? Or is it just the reseller market (us guys here on DNF and other forums) heating up the price between ourselves?

Right now its the reseller market but in the long run it will be the end user. I have recently got into the 5 letter market lately as Im looking for the long term investment.
Got some pretty good ones today

unless it is some typo or acronym else i still cant see the value.
4-letter domains are probably more popular in chinese market since many of those acronyms could be in the form of chinese phrase.

actually, there aren't too many such CVCV.coms

21*5*21*5 = 11025 = less than LLL.coms

If you actually do some research for the top of the line CVCV.coms, which I've always taken to be the ones with repeating O (COCO.coms, like Hono.com, Pono.com) because they just happen to look damn good , you'll find that a majority of them are being used by end users.

Also, most 4 letter words in most different languages follow the CVCV pattern. Love, Dove, Gato (Spanish for cat) etc., so there is a very high possibility that your CVCV.com might mean something in some language or the other. NBC bought Hulu.com recently, for instance. It means 'Butt' in Indonesian presumably...

Yep the prices gone up quite a bit.
But these domain have probably the highest end user branding potential, think about visa and similar.
