On the 23rd October, the ASA will publish their adjudication on:

ASA Website

I can't say much for now (I have a copy of the ruling - but it's confidential until the 23rd), suffice that DROE's ability to continue in business is likely to be crippled by the action.

:D :D  :shy:   :)

Let's assume that they made so much $$ that even a complete shut down, without any damages awarded, would hardly pose a problem!

The Adjudication has been made public!

They have been told to stop advertising, so hopefully they won't be able to trick many people into having to renew their domain with them.

I suppose this is how they made most of their money.
Anyway, it's a success for us domain experts who stand up to these wretched, corrupt firms!

:D :D

Yep - I just got one the other day.

They have removed some of the bits that ASA told them to remove in the first instance. But they ordered them to totally withdraw all advertisements and contact them before they advertised again..

I shall be in touch :)

I have contacted the DP Registrar, and they are looking into it at the moment. I'll probably get a reply after Christmas.
In the meantime, I've been meaning to phone Trading Standards... So...

Domain Registry of Europe.

Suffice to say there are a lot of threads previously (run a search) which discuss these crooks in detail!

Put a blank sheet of paper inside the return envelope, slap a 1 cent stamp on each, and make them pay postage due!

If they are not operating a scam, the constant letters are certainly harassment. Why not fight back?
