I'm not talking about the thread......
I'm interested in who is controlling the account (rld07)
Where are the domain police when you need them?

This is a somewhat mysterious contention and situation, but $3500 via PayPal (between verifiend and confirmed and.... lol MADE) parties is not unusual ? I've closed a few low XXXX entire through PP (I was the seller) and of course I did some ID engineering checks before releasing the the site zips or tars or the domains of course...

Just following this one.

:) Cheers,

Rob

Thanks for the support tim, i will do what you said in terms of trying to get a new username, i am so p*ssed off, right on xmas aswell, my gf's like OMFG how did they find out my name. and as for the whois information above, I no a "Richard lowthorpe" I may have to pay him a little visit the wanker.

Whoever accessed my hotmail account had access to my idotz.net, godaddy account, hosting accounts, paypal accounts. the lot!!! So now i have to spend hours creating new of everything!

Has this similiar scenario happened to anyone else on here? If so can you give me a bit of info please.

Thanks for the support guys,
The real lewis dobson :)

Why on earth are there domainers using FREE EMAILS ? Not only it is dangerous (all domain hijackings I know about are because of using free emails), it also looks AMATEURISH. I always laugh when some idiot asking me for a domain...using free email...

Thanks for that Denny, Everyone makes me mistakes, and it looks like ive learnt my lesson from it. I wont use free email anymore, but surely all these TOS that likes of M*N hotmail, etc should cover your ***. I mean its not me breaking the rules of service, its the *Hackers* or in my opinion ****ing n00bs!

i agree with you, 3500 via PP is not the problem, the funny thing is asking this amount for a domain that costs 10 times that right here on DNF :)
of course i did my homework too so i discovered him in no time, then he disappeared and closed the thread asap .

i agree with you in some way, but we must agree that non free emails are not sure at all either, specially when u are hosting yr domain in a reseller account / shared server where hosting reseller can login your account and check your emails or worst if a shared client hacks the server remotely.
sometimes, free accounts like gmail are safer because of this, sometimes not.

good luck, hope u get yr reputation back

Thats true, you can not host with "Joe who rent a rack and set a LLC".
Although I have 5 machines, for emails I still use hosting account @ pair.com, they are geeks and safer than my own machines, imho. When you see a combo like "Cpanel+Centos" - run away.
