Is it just me or are some websites getting so many ads that it is affecting the performance of the site?

Seriously, plastering your site with so many ads annoys visitors AND if it's from the same source then they'll consider you less successful (more ads = more ad shows).

You can make just as much money with a couple of well placed ads (maybe even more in the long run) than with a site with so many ads the site slows down.

Too many ads can kill a site. That's why so many use ad blockers...
