I would appreciate any advice on this please :)

I regd a .co.uk name in Dec 06 which i have now got parked, it has not been developed.

I have done some research into the domain today and have found out the .com .net and .org have all been registered for the last 3 years to an american company who trade from them.

Should i be worried that if this company decideds to start selling in the Uk they could try and claim my domain?*
Or could it be an oppertunity to sell it to them for a good price?

*This particular company is copyrighted for a three word business name (word1 word2 word3).
However the domains they use (and the one i have) only use the last two words - word2word3.ext

Depends if they have the name trademarked or not. I think the copyright only includes the website design and content and not the actual domain name.

Check the trademark status here: http://www.uspto.gov/

If they have a trademark registered since before you registered the domain, they have a legal right to the name.

Thanks for the tip :)

I have checked out the website and it appears they have trademarked the name. Im unsure of the trademark laws here:
Does the trrademark just count for US or is it worldwide?
or could i develop the domain and trademark then name in the UK?
