Can somebody advise me on the .cc domain names and are there any restrictions to register them? Are the worth anything?

I don't think there are any restrictions in registering .cc domains. To own a few good one word .cc's is a good investment IMO. Also they are still relatively cheap and good names are still available. .cc is often mentioned as brandable for financial purposes (.cc as credit card).

Personally, I think that is is important to go only for the really good names(preferably one word)

I personally belive that .cc might be a good investment if particularly other extensions are .eu or .net continue to expand.
