Alexa - Do they track this?

Does alexa give any indication of traffic for non regged domain names? like, type in traffic?

I believe they might for expired names that were already in there system

but to track all possible unregistered names would be a waste of time and a huge project to boot.

Can someone explain the benefit for putting in my contact information about my site on alexa? I seems to be a cheap attempt to ride on google's success. Is there a way we can ride on alexa's success and increase our site ranking or hits?
