.ME is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Montenegro. Following the decision on 26 September 2006 by the ISO 3166 Maintenance Agency to allocate ME as the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for Montenegro IANA assigned .me as ccTLD for this contry. This decision followed Montenegro's 3 June 2006 declaration of independance from Serbia and Montenegro, which uses the code YU.

Another Bs ext? Each country has a rightful claim to their own cctld.

I guess your .us domains are quite bs too

Definitely, i did not explain what i mean...i feel they always (when possible) will choose the option to match the united states as well to bank on 1000s of more registrations.
Montenegro has a population of appx 650,000

if it was .mg or .mo even the number of new registrations would be smaller then what it will be since it is .me

From the other hand it is the country code for Montenegro..but anyways...

And yes, my .us are quite bs arent they

It always amazes me that people assume that the US has need for about 30 odd different extensions, including half of the rest of World's ccTLDs, but at the same time cannot comprehend why places like China, Japan and Russia, might actually like one or two TLDs that are comprehensible by their indigenious peoples.

lookat.me
sue.me
bite.me
lick.me
follow.me
watch.me
ilove.me

That took 10 seconds - great domain extension for screwy domains - ten times better than .mobi if you ask.me

.us works for some of these sorts of things, too...

ask.us
help.us
screw.us
kill.us
join.us
get.together.with.us
etc.

It actually is superseding .yu (Yugoslavia), so I guess it really is "just between .yu and .me".

another cctld with word plays, if they don't put residence restrictions on this extention some people will have a field day with all these types of 'word play' regs.
