People have been PM'ing to ask what I think of my bidding script and my domain parking service in general. The honest answer is that I don't really know what to think about it because I haven't had a chance to research the market thoroughly enough for my opinion to be relied upon at all (but would sure like to know if there is anything better out there).

So, as I haven't tried any others myself, is anyone particularly happy or unhappy with their own domain parking service? Has anyone tried more than one on a like-for-like basis? What are the most important factors we should be lloking for - targeting, cents per click/search, a good bidding script, ability to include a description of names that are not self-explanatory, parking/for-sale pages which only appear on exit in order to allow the name to be used as a working site before that, others that I can't think of right now?

I know you have a thing about things being obvious to potential visitors, but that is not always possible with one-word names (although it is doable with two-word ones - see the rest of the list above).

If it would help I can explain the potential uses for cluelessness.com

It's obviously true that not all one-worders would create clear expectations in the mind of potential visitors, but those are the ones I would be interested in.

I can have a guess about cluelessness.com, but don't want visitors to have to guess.

Apart from perfection :), do you only seek dictionary words or are invented one-word domains of interest as well?

This is better. What price range do you expect (you can try to PM me but I don't think the thing works, even though I've enabled the PM option)?

As far as being brandable, I see BandHire as number one. I'm surprised that's not gone yet. A simple forum idea like DNF and one could sell some good slots.

Thanks Parasane, I hadn't thought of that. And obviously neither have other people - perhaps I should start writing descriptions for these names, which usually gets my own mind thinking about alternative uses for them.
