Japan warns 3.3-foot tsunami headed its way
Hokkaido on alert after 7.7-magnitude quake strikes off Kuril Islands

The asian rim is getting rocked with earthquakes lately and causing major disruptions with internet services not to mention damage to infrastructure. Hope everyone is okay. 7.7 is huge. I have personally been in a 6.8 that lasted 52 seconds and a later aftershock of 7.2. Not fun!

By all means, lets merge them into one. And while you are at it, how about you start slamming Kevin for posting in your precious space and inappropriate messaging. Or do you have the balls for another battle. You certainly don't have the vibrator to use as a weapon as you pulled that one our of your ass and forwarded it to me.

The earthquake has been upgraded to 8.3
Thank you Kevin, for alerting me in an increase in magnitude. I am thankful that you did not have to put of with the bullshit that I have had to simply because I posted the message in the wrong place.

Kevin (tsunamis.com) is a great guy and deserves respect, you on the other hand deserve nothing. You have acted worse then a 2 year old throwing a fit! You are not an adult, but a baby the way you carry on. Take a hint and move on.

You are the pillar of the community beyond a doubt and set such high standards for all to attain. My advice to you is keep your nose and ass out of matters that do not concern you to begin with. If you have nothing constructive to add or service that one or all can benefit then you should just keep moving on. There is not an untrue word in any and all of my posts. If you keep insisting on airing your pompous ass attitude in a public forum, then be prepared for rebutals. Can you not take a hint?

No inflammatory comments are directed to Kevin. I knew there was someone who expressed concern over the same matter as I but did not know where to find it until I searched my own threads. It was only then that I found it and it is meant as a sincere expression. That is what being new to a forum like this takes, a learning curve.

In the meantime, I found your worthless piece of shit posts even in this thread and putting your ****ing two cents into everything. And it is not just here. I was on a thread yesterday afternoon and read your responses to another issue and I thought to myself, "who is this judgmental self righteous pompous ass" and then your ****ing ugly ass (sorry, that's your face) picture shows up again last night.

So have a grandeoise laugh at my expense because I certainly am enjoying myself in responding to your taunting.

you must be referring to "youngschoolgirls.com" having sex ads on it? well in my opinion, school girls should NOT be exploited as sex objects, so if they type in that name they should find ads related to myspace not sex. Would you want to have your kids (if you ever grow up enough to have any) see such ads?

Thank you for another below the belt cheap shot but that seems to be where you concentrate your efforts.

Believe it or not, I agreed with you 100% and perhaps you should read my post on the same thread.

Thanks for asking, the wife and kids are fine. We celebrated our 22nd anniversary yesterday. Nice of all of you to come on over and spend some time with us. I usually get about 3-4 hours sleep so I was up late working (really, I was) when I started the post that eveyone else seems to be enjoying.

Nothing major planned yesterday as we will be going to Vienna, Austria this summer and taking the kids. Last year we went to Italy for a couple of weeks and this year we will hit the birthplace of Mozart and do the Blue Danube up to Salzburg. The wife is very excited about seeing the Spanish Riding School, the home of The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions.

I am not the evil person you (and even I) portrayed myself to be but I will never ever submit to humiliation in a public forum. The one that dishes it out best be prepared to eat what they feed.

You should be banned.

Seriously, what the hell is your problem anyway?

The issue should and is quite obvious...generous folks like you offering to put their two cents into everything when an issue does not even involve them.

How does this issue involve you more than myself or anyone else on this forum?

Thank you for your update. The asian rim has always behaved that way. hundreds of times a day. Not until they get over 3.0 do they report it.
Now, as for the notifications about "going to higher ground" for the civilians, its not much of the water that kills the people, it is the old houses and debris that injure people. Although there may be a few carried out to see. There are also thousands of fishing boats that watch the events of tsunamis and can report these right away to the shores thus giving time to evacuate.
So far since 2006, there have been 8 tsunami warnings for Japan (mostly Hokkaido).
Many Japanese people fear that there will be a devistating earthquake in Tokyo that they predicted happens almost every 72 years (or something). Tokyo has passed this anniversary 6 years ago (or something). So when an earthquake happens in Tokyo (6 earthquakes over 4.0 Richter and thousands over 1 Richter), a few people who believe this "every 72 years" earthquake, they freak out. Others basically ride the waves. Watching the buildings and powerlines move is quite interesting. In the event of an earthquake 6.0 Richter, ALL drinks from vending machines are free.

Now about the internet connection here, there is nothing to worry about. We have state-of-the-art technology. We have confident that we will still have internet connection in any event. Japan is not a second-world country. Our technology is great.

I think it was kind of you to report this to just start a discussion. I dont find anything wrong with that. That is cool and acceptable. And it was related to the topic.
As for religion? ohhhhh. im not going to talk about that here. Nor spread any religion.
But thanks for the update!

Thanks for the latest news.

As you can see in the time post that started the thread, it was quite late here. The point of the post was to alert users of a potentially life threatening situation. One can only wonder how many users and members of this forum are on here at any given time and from what nations they represent. Time zones also come into play. The internet knows no boundaries and no borders.

It seems the fiasco began with someone opposed to my posting the original thread here, on this forum. Innocent enough, thought I was providing a service, but some took offense to me clouding up their space. The news did not affect them so they were a little bent out of shape.

Never questioning the infrastructure of Japan. Just did not know who would be affected by such a stong magnitude shake. A good friend of mine was on a teaching fellowship in Kobe when an earthquake struck several years ago. I do not remember all the particulars, but I do recall it was pretty devastating and it was days (perhaps a week or more) before his family heard from him.

Thanks for the updates and glad all is well.
