Received this email today for domain "won" through NameJet;

Dear Registrant of:

x cc c c .com

We are sorry to inform you that the registrar Alfena, or IgniteLA, or Yenkos, can no longer maintain the above domain name. We apologize for the inconvenience, however you must transfer your domain name to another registrar within the next seven (3) days. As you have been using the enom.com registrar panel to access these domains up until this point we suggest a transfer to enom.com will the smallest hassle. Failure to transfer your domains within this period of time means that your domain(s) will be transferred directly to enom.com as a batch transfer which means you will lose access to your domain, so please do not wait and transfer now.

regretfully,

Alfena Management
IgniteLA Management
Yenkos Management

Is it really ****ing well worth buying domains through NameJet ?

I received the same email ... I submitted support ticket about it on ENOM and waiting reply.

I sent email to [email protected] and instant response with
unlock and auth code (took 1/2 hr) and guy apologised for hassle. So seems
like genuine problems. Would be nice to know whether the message meant actually 3 or 7 days !.

EG I dont know if you have same probs but if you cannot get an
auth code or unlock domain through enom then send email to
[email protected] and he answers within 1 hour with
auth code and unlock. Got to say the guy sounds genuine and
apologised for hassles. Contrast that with NameJet who said was not
their problem (yeh sold domain and ran !).

This may help and explain. Looks like enom are holding people's domains to ransom ?;
This below is reply from enom to one of my domains, not one for which I
have an email for though;
Hello,

We are still attempting to get in contact with this Registrar in regards to changing the whois information on this domain. However if you intend on renewing this domain in the future, if you were to renew the domain now this would effectively move the domain into the eNom cred directly and would then reflect the correct whois information as it would be updated directly by us.

Please let me know if you would like to continue to await a response from parava or renew this domain.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this matter. Thank you for your continued partnership, we appreciate you working with us.

Regards,

(Enom)

Thanks

DG
