Hey, I think you have some REAL GEMS there, congrats.
Where to sell? dnforum is not the best place to go but is still a good way to promote your domains.
You got commerce.co.uk, were there no buyers had ever made offers to you?
Good luck.

some nice names there, some for the drop. Should make a profit on these.

What do YOU think you will get for them?

Sell them in a lot on Ebay.

You'll get bids on it, but it's impossible to predict what the final price will be. Some will find some names they like and the rest will just be bouns names.

If I were to auction all the domains on ebay, What do you think the reserve should be?

I normally don't put a reserve. It scares people away thinking that you may want thousands of dollars. Ask yourself what you want for them? What are they worth to you? Personally, I start all my auctions at $1.00 and they do fine. They tend to stand out more since there will be more bids if you start them low. You'll get more traffic that way if it looks like you have a lot of bidders.

There are some good ones in there. You may want to have a couple of auctions. That many domains might make people miss the good ones if they just skim over the list. You'll want to throw in some bad with the good to get rid of them. People will still bid to get the names they want.

I say, no reserve, but it's up to you. If you do put a reserve, don't let bidders know what it is in your description or you will get bids all the way up to it, but never meet it.

There are 2 categores you should put the auction in.

Good luck!

I was speaking with a company called " Charles Schwab " earlier today about "Commerce.co.uk" and was thinking of creating a Business website which has some of these functions:

Realtime Share feeds (From Charles Schwab)
Business News (From Reuters & Lexus Nexus)
Finance Sections
Recruitment Opportunities (worldwide)
Press / PR Section whereby corporates add news each day.
ecommerce solutions section
Online Business Directories (all biz sectors)
Members area whereby people can tendor for projects + download specific info.
Top 100 Companies
Investment Opportunities. (worldwide)
Business Forums

and so on...........................The idea would be to create a place for Business's to go and find out information on whats happing around the world, aswell as using the site as a sourcing tool for everyday business etc.

What do you think????

Thanks,

Barry

The thing is Im actually chatting to a company next thursday which wants to invest in it, so fingers crossed money & resoursces should'nt cause any problems.

I truely believe as a developed / established site we would then get more money for the domain.

We'll soon see what happens, I'll keep you informed.

Thanks,

Barry.

Not from UK so I can't really comment much on .co.uk. But commerce.co.uk has to be a great name. I think you are doing the right by developing it. Any recognition it can get will just increase its value. Good luck in developing the name!!

Thanks!

Investors scare me. They never understand what you are doing and they always want it yesterday. Be careful.

commerce.co.uk

you're not eager to develop the site anyhow. keep it for the right moment.

the price is really depend on how useful it is to the buyer. You should expect around $25K - $65K offer.

I totally agree!

Investors also scare me as people always have different ideas on how to run things - I'd prefer to just sell the domain :)

I get companies emailing me all the time asking about partnerships etc

This company has some interesting ideas " http://www.quiss.co.uk " - They think i would make a killing becoming a merchant (It's very tempting)

There is a big story about obtaining this domain. The domain used to be owned by Holcot Press Ltd which were the leading Business 2 Business Magazine for 16 years, They then got taken over by " Aavis Group" and then I bought company:) - So the domain come as a package aswell as the magazines etc. (not cheap believe me)

You can view the old commerce site here: " http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.commerce.co.uk "

The domain is also pre nominet which is rare.

Thanks for your input DRPing ;)
