They were really the first to the retail market with a dropped name service. They only allow one person to sign up for a snap on a single name. With new entries in the market, they are not quite what they once were. They seem to have spent the last year concentrating on designing the Wait List Service (WLS) for Verisign, while competitors have outpaced them on drop catching success. To cover all bases, you almost need to use them all to get a name you really want. Even then there is no guarantee and you have maybe a 50% chance of getting it.

alternative services:

Namewinner.com
Pool.com
Dropwizard.com

Some less often but occasionally successful services:

Godaddy.com also has a service in their accounts
Expirefish.com

Enom.com has a service, but it can be pretty expensive.

I think recent stats posted here showed that catches were in the following league order (top 3):-

Pool
Snapnames
Namewinner

They are a real company and have good cut service... I have used them for years.
Unfortunately recently they have not been too successful in catching n ames at least the ones i ahve tried for.

You might want to use a different service. The following is a link to a better one (at the moment) imho
http://www.pool.com

From my experience, it's not the best in terms of success with competition. I will only use it for names that would be nice to get, but would not feel upset if I missed. I have used it as a backup to other services just to increase the odds. I have not used it for a while, an also not since they've supposedly changed their software.

Some people say ExpireFish can't even catch a cold. :-D
Poor customer ratings. See Alexa.

I think Pool & SnapNames are the top catchers. Namewinner comes in third.
