there's not much for me to say publicly about it

there's a small class action I'm involved with against ebay/paypal

the details aren't really for me to discuss publicly

let's just say ebay cannot continue to do business as they do now that we sued them

a US Federal judge will now be looking at almost everything ebay does

you can't be a public company and do the stuff they do

so we're calling them on it

we can prove they're 1. a monopoly 2. they infringe on freedom of speech 3. they rip people off 4. they don't police their network for rampant fraud 5. they target people and companies that speak out against them with harassment

other than that, I can't really say too much about it

I'm one of many people ebay/paypal has harassed and wronged

now some of us got together, and we're going for the jugular

soon a Federal Judge will be looking at most of the things ebay does and deciding if they infringe on the civil rights of people in the USA, if they are a monopoly and if they have targeted certain companies and people with harassment due to them speaking out against ebay practices

it's going to be a major suit and there will be tons of press about it

but I'm told to not really give exact details

I can say 'I'm suing ebay/paypal"

I can say "It's a class action"

I can say "It involves many issues such as monopoly, harassment, freedom of speech, etc"

Other than that I was told to not post too much about it

Let the lawyers handle it

There is more than a small class-action suit pending against Paypal...it's more to the tune of a 4300+ person lawsuit being conducted by Jacoby & Meyers over frozen funds to the tune of 16Million dollars. They enjoying "freezing" accounts when members try withdraw large sum balances from their account saying that they do it for security measures and the large withdrawal appeared fraudulent. What they are really doing is withholding the funds and destroying people's lives by not allowing them access to their hard earned funds and all the while they collect the interest off the balances in their customers accounts! This has happened to 5 people I know of personally and it took my brother a year and half to get his money out after hiring a lawyer and filing numerous complaints through the State Attorney's office and the Better Business Bureau. He had it easy, alot of the people had to file bankruptcy over PayPal's actions and it is leaning ever closer to federal investigation time. So IMO it won't be long before Paypal will be shut down.....you can't step on that many people's toes and not expect repercussions......start looking now for alternatives.

paypal was built by thousands of web site operators, who spent tons of time programming web pages for paypal payments, these people didn't get paid to promote paypal on their sites, they didn't get paid to program paypal on their sites, ebay buys paypal and decides they don't like certain businesses, they change the terms of service and then one day they cancel tens of thousands of accounts that made paypal what it was

now who should be PAYING those people for BREACH OF CONTRACT, paypal misled them all, they used their sites for FREE PROMOTION and now how much time do web site owners have to spend or pay to reprogram sites that ebay decides they don't want

now, that isn't even my case against them, but it is the grounds for another case I know about

if you used paypal for years and then got canceled to a new TOS, that is grounds for breach of contract

paypal USED YOU

ebay bought paypal and then says we don't like this business or this business or that business

that's plain WRONG

anyway, the whole on-line credit card thing has a ton of scams connected to them

making money from web sites is not the problem, getting merchant processors and other companies like paypal to PAY YOU what they owe is a whole nother problem

first banks make it way to easy for their almost 5% of people in DEFAULT to say I didn't agree to these charges

WAY TO EASY

heck the problem is 5% of the world is DELINQUENT on their credit cards

those people can dispute any electronic bill way to easily

That is such a generalization and completely false.

Overall I found your post quite entertaining, but that sentence i liked the most.

Also, many people think paypal has improved since ebay bought them.

Before that time, the BBB once had to take them off thier list for a short period of time for such horrible support.

Ebay is a "short sellers" dream! IT AIN'T GONNA BE AROUND TOO MUCH LONGER. Why? They're running on "fumes" (funds in accounts at PayPal, etc.) There's absolutely nothing there. And there never was; and there never will be!
