Entire text in French! Here's the part that bothers me:

Si vous NE repondez PAS dans les 5 jours ET si AU MOINS un autre contact
ACCEPTE le transfert, le transfert sera effectué.

Si aucun contact ne répond, le transfert échouera.

It seems to indicate that if I do nothing for 5 days, the transfer will proceed. Have checked to make sure that the domain is "LOCKED" but I'm still worried.

I haven't received anything similar, but it doesn't sound too bad.
Do you have any other contact for the domain besides yourself? (Registrant, tech contact, billing, etc?)
What it says is that if you do nothing, AND another contact accepts the transfer, it will be carried out. (Meaning it's enough that ONE contact says yes, not all.)
If no contact says yes, they will not attempt to transfer it, as I interpret the text.

You are certainly right and I am not about to put the auth code in their link to either "accept" or "refuse" the transfer.

All the contacts are the same! I just want to be sure that without an auth code they cannot pursue the matter any further.

It happened to me a while ago. It was a French company using OVH.
It could be plain ignorance on their part rather than theft attempt. Anyway, they are wasting their money - I believe OVH will only credit back to their account. I'm assuming it's a .com domain. Who is the individual/company involved ?

Indeed you need auth codes at least for .com .net .org etc
For ccTLDs procedures are usually different and involve E-mail authorizations with links.
OVH is just asking for authorization from owner at this stage.
Without proper auth codes the transfer will fail so no worry here.

It's a .com.

Ind: Éric Niakissa
Co: Odimat.fr
OK it was another company that attempted to gain a domain from mine but I believe they were more or less in the same field of activity. At least you know who's after your domain. You can tell them to purchase the name ;)
