Has anyone ver dealt with politicians for domains?

If not politicians, but different organizations that either support x, y, or z?

How do you aproach them without becoming enemies with the opposite camp?

Some of you might know, I own a few, well many, political domain names, and I am in the process of selling some.

I have approached some potention buyers, but I want to stay neutral as far as the 'political scene' is concerned.

Any previous experience is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

You may actually want to approach the opposite camp as well as they are no less your potential buyers. Just take a look at beef.com. ;)

I once TRIED to cash in on a Falungong-related domain names but later decided to drop it as I didn't want to have anything to do with these crazy people.

so...

let me ask y'all (as he would say) a question.
You go to the 'other' side and say, dudes, I've got this domain you might be interested in?
In the mean time, I approach the party that is directly affected?
I dont mind doing all that, but the thing is I want to remain neutral.
Any hints on that?

Why not set up a forum on the domain, then tell the 'other side' to come and post what they really think about the poliitician, then offer to sell it to the politician. ;)

This is called playing both sides against the middle. Watch out.

I had a political party make an offer on one of my domains.

They dropped out of the deal though.

Don't deal with politicians if you can help it.

yes, well, If I can help it, which I can, I dont deal with drugdealers either... :)

But having a 'serious' political domain, and wanting to get rid of it changes things.
