Ok, so I just launched Newfoundland.com and it's page 1 in Yahoo already for the term newfoundland.

What features would you add or change?

I am looking for partners in Newfoundland to sell ads or listings.

The top part of the webpage looks very nice, I think you should not have a column on the left and expand the column on the right a little bit more. Instead of having all those folders in the middle I would write an interesting article about Newfoundland complete with a nice picture. Bottom of web site looks good, just my two cents.

I took a look at it. So, I would increase width of content... color palette looks nice, but you need at least change background color of expanding list in navi, because now it looks almost same as background under it, and its not good imo. bit darker color will fit it. I would also add hover effect to the navi "buttons" . No 3d effects needed, just simple color change.
header pic looks cheap, you should make it better.

overall, i think its good start, just shape it

Personally I would not change the header pic, it looks far from cheap, just my opinion. To me, that header pic makes the website look very unique. I do agree with you on changing the background color and hover effects.

picture base is good, because of nice pic, but I think this is not real header now. I would keep the pic, logo is also good, it needs just better photoshop work with them.

Seems like you could hook up with some Whale Watching outfits up in the Bay of Fundy. And don't leave Nova Scotia out of the picture. For those of us in the eastern part of the US, the road to Newfoundland will go through Nova Scotia.

That reminds me; there has got to be big demand for ferry schedules...all the way from Portland Maine, the CAT, and then from points all along Nova Scotia up to Newfoundland and PE Islands. Just cover the entire Maritimes.

I would change the color around the borders and stuff a bit and I would also change the logo a bit. I like the header and agree that you should increase the amount of content. An article on the front page instead of those folders would look much better. Good luck with the project.
