I wonder how diminishing or useful the "Central-" in

CentralCarolinaRealEstate.com

and

CentralCarolinaHomes.com

is.
Can someone local explain in which ways "Central Carolina" is used? I see it in University- and Hospitalnames, but I'm not sure if this really describes an area or general institutions.

I live in SC. There is a town called Central, but I haven't seen it used in this way.

Not sure about NC.

Then again, I'm not from the "center" area. So maybe I'm not the one to be asking. ;)
