Has anyone used this regsitrar (name.com)?

Are they reliable?
I bought a name that needs to be transfered to their account, but since I have never heard of them, I want to make sure its ok to use my CC there.

Thanks!

Name.com is the best registrar at the moment, IMHO. And i am not saying just like that - i have used over 15 different registrars so far.
Although i am using Name.com for just over 2 months, from what i can see Name.com has very good interface, good support, yes - it is reliable, and it has unbeatable price - 6,99$.

thanks a lot for the feedback!
its my first encounter with them, as I bought a domain from an owner and the domain cant be transfered out, its only 20 days old.
The strange thing is, that instead of me buying the domain from the owner (which I contacted through whois), the reply came from name.com itself on behalf of the owner, and we agred on a price.
They now want me to fill my account with the amount and they will transfer the name into my new name.com account.
a little peculiar method though.

ok, thanks didnt know that.
They seem rather low profile, and after chekcing out their site, I am getting to like it more and more.

Interesting registrar, dax. I emailed them my questions about 2 days ago and
haven't gotten a response. :-(

I'll try again. Have you established any "ties" with someone there?

I tried to register My.name about 3 months ago. It told me that I registered the domain, however the domain didn't show up in my account. I called them and I quickly got an answer. They told me that you can't register 2 character domains. I've never used them since.

"davezan1: Have you established any "ties" with someone there?"

Support is support. I dont care who is on the other side as long as my requests are resolving :)

"Alexander: I tried to register My.name about 3 months ago."

Well, in the case of "new" TLDs, specially 2-letter, you have to make sure it is registerable and free for reg. before you buy it. ;-)

FYI in case you didn't know: no one can register 2 or 3 character domain names
anymore. Whoever has such can either use them or lose them.

Not true.

You cannot register two letter .orgs anymore. COM/NET still allows for it. I do not know .name procedures.
