Yakhov asked for the pros and cons of switching to moniker and I thought I can post them in public as well:

+ monte is a great guy to work with and of great help
+ moniker hasn't has one domain name stolen so far
+ great customer support: theri support team took care of a .org DNS problem for me very quickly

- you have to get used to a new system.

Best Regards
Nico

I second nicorlino on above comments. Their management panel is easy to use and functional. Monte is also an active community member on dnforum who has also been very helpful during our transition.

One of my pet peeves is when you send someone important emails with say 2 or 3 questions they only answer one of the issues (not surprisingly, they seem to always address the question which could be the money-making item in their eyes), and totally ignore the other questions, which may be more important in the view of the sender.

I'm making the switch too.

So many names to move though, it's taking a little choreography.

I say go for it if you have the chance, Yacov.

Besides, your not playing with .ws names, so you could keep your entire portfolio there.

I still have to use various other registrars for my country code names .fm, .ws, and all the other extensions I have.

BTW, their sale on .us and .biz should end this month, Monte gave me a heads up just Yesterday. Get 'em at those prices while you can.

Strange thread, so strange question. Does Moniker have the interphase and scripting to handle hundreds of domains at the blink, pardon the pun, of an eye like eNom has? :-D

yes they do, matter of fact it handles huge lists :)
even global changes, print on screen, and don't time out

(enom doesn't do this on screen for you)

Kodeking,

If you contact them. They will be competitive with Enom.

I believe you have to have an acct there, first. Then, they will adjust it for you.
Only if you are going to transfer a number of names to them.

Why should they give you a deal if you are only reg'ing a few domains a year?

I suggest you contact them.

Most of my names are with Moniker. Support is great, which sets them apart from other registrars.

As for ease of management, it’s good but not quite as good as Enom, at least not yet.

Pros
- Great Support
- Security
- Price >> Good if you transfer many names

Cons
- Not as easy to manage as Enom, at least this is my experience.

Worth the move? YES!

Thanks
Rob

Began the "reg" game four years ago at register.com; switched to network solutions; then to domain discover; began the "grab" game; then to godaddy, and finally to moniker last year. Have almost 1,400 domains parked there now; 1,600+ more to go.

The reason: It's the personalized service! That's right, you get to email/speak with the CEO on a regular basis! Or when you need him most!? Can't beat that for any price!! And speaking of the price, it is very decent if you have any volume to move! Just ask Yun Ye (Ultimate Search)!!
