i own a 3-letter domain name ziv.org -- i have seen it valued online at anything from a couple hundred dollars to thousands. i understand that the market will eventually get me close to the price, but is there a good way to get a narrower range for a price? thanks. (and am i better off just fixing a price or trying the auction?)

In a liquid reseller market this is probably between $100 and $300. However some with equally bad letters have fetched around $500-$1000 at parking places. I'd put it at sedo and see what interest you get. It's definitely not worth thousands reseller though. Maybe if you get a lucky enduser.
