Hum... I haven't sold any names in ages, all of a sudden I have offers today and just sold two names, both contacted by email and are two different buyers. Wow!!

It's probably a coincident... just wondering if this happen to anyone as well.

Sales and offers have been consistent for me thruout 2007 and going into this year as well.

I sold a domain this past Saturday for $,$$$ and the buyer drove to my house... with cash to make the purchase.

Sometimes it may take more than a year or two for domains in one's portfolio to start drawing interest.

Glad you're getting some sales and offers!

Good Luck in 2008

I've completed around 100 transactions (both buying and selling) via DNF alone the last 12 months, around 100 sales on Sedo and a few sales via e-mail etc. Although I haven't pulled in any $xxx, xxx sales yet, I am very happy with last year. I'm hoping/expecting 2008 to be even better.

Yep. If they ask you to pay for an appraisal though their service, run away.

Most people don't mind spending $25-$100+ for an appraisal for a domain they might sell for a few $K, but when the buyer backs out because they have your apprailsal fee...

If the buyer wants an appraisal then s/he (the buyer) pays for it! After all they are the ones who want it.

The scam wouldn't work very well that way. ;)

They hope people would be excited to spend a little $$$ for an appraisal if it meant selling a domain for $x,xxx.

The offers have been coming in this month a lot more than last month...I think this is a sign of how things will progress this year.

Not to mention very risky, unless he dealt with the buyer before.

Nah, I wouldn't be worried about some geek rocking up on my doorstep.

Plus you can usually gauge how someone is through email/phone.

Congrats on the sales, hopefully that's the trend for 2008.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the market for PREMIUM .com's is starting to dry up, so this should create demand for other .com's and extensions. Moniker's last auction had many non-.com domains in it, which makes me think they couldn't bring forward a slate of full (quality) .com names because they are getting harder to come by.
