I am talking about English first names such as Ernest.com, Eduard.com (that's just an example, they are not mine). How much one could expect for a first name com? What was your best sale of a first name domain if any?

TIA

i want a first name dotcom of my name, they get good type in traffic (depending on the name)

i would say a few thousand is decent price for a firstname.com depending the popularity of the name

I would guess the more common the name, the more some people would want it.

The problem is letting people know its available. I, for one, don't think I've ever typed Andrew.com in before and doubt I will. But if someone told me I could buy it, I would be interested.

Value wise, can't help ya.

What if a name is not so common like Mike, for example, but still gets 20,000 Google results?

The matter is I am viewing several available first names like Melicent.com. Some of them get up to 20,000 Google searches and up to 50 Overture searches as well. Still deciding whether to register them or not.

I would rather have my lastname, but I wouldn't mind having my firstname too.

I have a bunch of names in the .net and .org TLD.. I was curious about this subject as well. I have:

Denise.net
Terri.net
Briana.net
Pammy.net

Among a bunch of others. . . I have had a lot of interest in Terri.net and some in Briana, but no takers. I was looking for $1200 - $1500

I asked this same thread in a differnet thread a few weeks ago, but never really got a response. Glad to see some input here.

meaning + an airline company + a common latin abbrevation for
white-cedar.

How do you know how often its searched for on Google?

And I'm lucky. I was able to snag my last name and I wouldn't give it up for the world. (well, maybe)

Well, I meant if you type a name in the Google toolbar, it gets so and so many links. But there is also a way to find out how often a keyword is searched on Google. If you go for their PPC program, you will be able to see a search prediction of your keywords.

I've just bought bridgets.net for a friend and I think in this case the plural enhances it. I got it for reg fee, but all other options seem to have gone. Any idea of the value of this now?

You mean the possessive, not the plural....unless she is making a site for all the bridgets out there....

I put plural because I couldn't get the apostrophe into the name. I don't think it's possessive without the apostrophe is it?

But I mean that is your intent, yes?

Like "bridget's .net", meanin "Bridgets Internet"....

I dont like s after a name...because people don't see it as a possessive of the extension. They see it as a plural.

I have Isadore.com and Jacquiline.com - I used to own a few others but gave them up, though they were .nets.

Isadore.com is my favourite and does nicely on searches. I think it's worth a reasonable amount.
