People keep telling me .net and other extensions are pretty worthless, but are .net's really that worthless? Or they worth taking a gamble on?

It's what you have before the extension that makes the difference - your t63.net isn't worth much (IMO) but if it was ttt.net expect good money, or even 633.net would fetch money. The .com domains are "king" but all other extensions have examples of good or relatively good money (well nearly all!).

Well I didn't mean my t63.net, I'm not looking for much for that anyway as I said in my thread, but their are other good .net domains out there, just wondering if it's worth it.

Thanks for the reply

.com is usually worth about 20 times what a .net name is worth to resellers...

I would say .de, .us and .info are selling better than .net

Its your call, but they arent worth nearly as much

As webnames said, its what's to the left of the dot that is going make the difference. Ceteris Paribus, however, .net seems to have been sandwiched out by the ominpresent status of .com on the one extreme, and the specialist connotations of .org, .info, .biz on the other.
