Looks like premium numerics are not immune to today's economics:

I see in numericdomains.com that 22.com probbaly sold for only $100k and today I followed the auction for 34.com on Sedo, which ended at $45k and 92.com sold for 54,000 euro.

being invested in such domains - I sure am disappointed....

since we don't know what the sellers originally paid to acquire them...then why be disappointed?

HI

It is a sign of the times... people need money and what they hold they have to sell to get that money to re-invest in other places...

Sell 22.com and 34.com and we will see what they will be worth in like like 3-5 year from now..

My guess is they will be worth 3-5 times what they will sell for today...

the problem is that numerics don't have any inherent marketability yet, besides in asia

Resellers are currently in "recession mode", so unless there are 2 end-users actively bidding up the auction, the chance is huge for bargain prices like these.

The only reason domain values have sunken the last few months is because resellers aren't willing to pay as much as we used to. The end-users are still willing to put piles of money on the table for quality domains and there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that domain names shouldn't continue increasing in value over the years to come, as the internet is growing more rapidly than ever before.

For those who have access to funds now; invest, invest, invest. Pick up all the bargains and reap the profits next year. Massive profits! This is not 2000-2001 all over again, but it's as close as we'll get before the prices starts to increase again. My 2 cents..

regardless of what people paid - 34.com would sell for about $100k and
22.com for around $150k just a few months ago....
