yes, there are REAL buyers and REAL sellers here!

but it may be better if you do some research by reviewing past sales threads, as members don't like to post what they paid, especially if they are still trying to sell it

What makes a successful post here? A good domain at an even better price. :)

Don't go the eBay route with

**********OMG**OMG**OMG**LOL GREAT DOMAINZ - DOMAIN.COM 4 SALE!!! WOW CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111********** LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

You're dealing with other domainers here so if you BS you'll be called on it - stick to the facts.

Your general sales post should consist of the following...

Domain name
Registration date if appealing
Registrar
Overture with or without extension, perhaps google search numbers etc
Revenue if applicable with screen shots available
Asking price
Payment method acceptable
A write up or ad as you would anything else youd sale.

Why would anyone bother posting sales history for you when you can go ahead and use estibot or research the forum. Do a little bit of work and welcome to the forum.

A lot of the action actually takes place via PM (private messages) and if it is sold in public, price is usually removed as a courtesy to the purchasing party.

I think this is an invaluable thread and agree with pretty much all the tips given in above posts.

We've bought and sold several names in the $x to $xxxx price range thanks to our participation in the community. As noted above, most (if not all) negotiations and closings are done through PM or email.

As for pricing, the chances of finding an end-user here are extremely slim - you are dealing with fellow domainers, web development companies or a mix of both.

One strategy is to promote your domains on venues (such as SEDO, Afternic, GoDaddy/TDNAM etc) that attract end-users and also on domaining forums... in some cases you will get a domainer / reseller offer that you simply won't want to turn down.

Cheers and good luck with your sales!

anyone can "price" their domains in that range, but quality speaks for itself

if your domains are worthy, then offers will come

also, posting solicitations here for members to pm you won't get it

you'll have to start a sales thread in the appropriate sections if you want the respect of other members

imo...

The best way to get exposure to your domains or websites is to do the following:

A) check out the domains & websites wanted area to see if you have anything that would qualify for what they are looking for
B) Search for end users who are currently using the keywords that your domain has or that you think would interest them (Call, email, etc)
C) Start a sales thread and see who bites

Just because you think your sites or domains are worth the amount specified buyers may see them differently. Could be more or less.

Good luck.

If it's a good keyword domain and priced real low at wholesale level it could sell here.
