My Yahoo account is still getting hammered with these virus emails or whatever they are. I bought the 100MB mailbox too and its filling up within 2 hours. Really screwing with my biz.

Is there something I can do or just have to ride it out or what??

Go to mail management, filters and add the subject lines for the most common virus emails - and send them to trash - then just empty the trash.

>>then just empty the trash.

I do this but it still uses space up and fills up my mailbox. I have to delete trash once an hour to keep up with it.

Isn't there an option to automatically delete trash? Most webmails should have it.

Why would you use Yahoo for your biz email address?

Lycos Mail shut down yesterday so they could retool things... kind of sad.
Lycos Mail is experiencing technical problems. We expect to have everything restored on Sept 4, 2003 at 11am PDT. All new emails that have been received will be processed at that time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Got it fixed. Just forward to Outlook and have them deleted there. COOL!

Try using a good bayesian filter (they are available for free).
You can train filters to cut down spam by over 95%.

If the recent flood of 'Sobig' virus mails is bothering you, you might consider using a service like mailprotector (www.mailprotector.biz)

They filter spam & viruses effectively...but they are not cheap..
