It seems nearly every single one of the domains I applied for in the .asia landrush is going to auction where i will inevitably lose. should always be 'first come first served' I say but now it seems it's 'eat shit, rich man wins' which really sucks. I have 1 of the 50 domains i applied for which if you ask me is not a good ratio. It looks like i'm back to registering crap like 'toastzombie.asia' in the pathetic hope that an asian business man who really likes toast AND zombies will one day set up a company and buy the domain. Thanks .asia do you want to come to my house and piss in the microwave while you're at it?
ah shucks

LMAO http://carrera.asia/

Does Asia Carrera have a right to sue now? :D

PS If you don't know who Asia Carrera is, do a search from home - not at work!

How do you know when you're domain is going to auction? I am getting this message from Eurodns: "Submitted to the registry". The domain is not in auction.

I would rather have pre registration and auctions than "first come first serve". Most decent domains would be auto-regged in a second by anyone with enough money and resources.

I hear ya. I only applied for 5 of them and got none. I would of applied for a lot more if I had the money. So 0-5 for me.

Looks like I'm going to have to get a little more creative in finding some good .asia names.. :shy:

no I was a bit worried about that, but it's actually reassuring to know someone else hasn't had any notification. One thing I also wanted to know; is there any way at all of telling how many people you are going to be up against because if 500 people have applied for one of my names then I'll just let the auction ride and concerntrate on the ones where's theres only a couple bidding?

has anyone been on pool.com and watched the heady numbers scroll by? frightning!
